Animal Motifs: They have a reptile motif going on - shapeshifting is traditionally associated with chameleons, their default form looks vaguely reptilian with wide facial features and hair resembling the spines of an iguana or dinosaur, their true form looks like a mix of a giant lizard, an eastern dragon and a prehistoric protomammal, their true true form is a tiny salamander-like creature and they once tried to kill Ling by turning one of their arms into a snake's head. For what it's worth, Envy's true form is possibly a case of No Biological Sex. They have no problems with shapeshifting into people of any sex, they're voiced by voice actresses in most languages who sound boyish, and in their preferred form they combine long hair and feminine clothes with a masculine upper body and a more slender lower body for an androgynous look. Ambiguous Gender: While other characters refer to Envy with male pronouns, nobody knows Envy's true gender, not even Envy.Averted with Roy and Scar who have No Sympathy. Alas, Poor Villain: Invoked by Edward during Envy's death.Adorable Abomination: They're a hideous, giant Flesh Golem Eldritch Abomination who prefers to look like a Cute Monster Person.Accidental Pervert: Envy walks in on Edward after Edward just left the shower, and thus has no pants or towel on.

So next time you are drinking with French just say out loud “cul sec!”. To describe the bottom of the bottle, the French people say ‘le cul de la bouteille”. It means ‘dry ass” because the ass of the drink is the bottom. This is the way to say “shot!” while drinking a beer or any alcoholic beverage. It is a feminine word so it is “une clope”. The French might use the verb “to tax” with this slang. As you might know, French people, smoke a lot, especially during a party. It can also be used when something might disgust a French person. This is a French slang for “to throw up”. Dassault has promised that translation between Xdesign and Solidworks will be “best in class” – a claim I take with a grain of salt. Indeed, the trio could only send dumb solids to Solidworks. This makes it hard to translate drawings between them. Xdesign employs Dassault’s CGM kernel, making it incompatible with Solidworks Parasolid kernel (licensed from Siemens PLM). From a Solidworks user’s point of view, the big flaw in Xdesign is precisely the same as that of the trio. I don’t know what the launch of Xdesign means for the future of the trio of Solidworks Conceptual Design, Model Based Design, and Inspection Design, companion products that were released in just the last two years. For example, if a model needs to handle a heavier load, only some parts need to change, and so Design Guidance points out the ones we need to redesign. Dassault and third parties say they are working on filtering the data appropriately.Īnother bout of Xdesign intelligence is found in Design Guidance, which suggests changes to existing models when the design requirements change. The drawback to MBD is that the necessarily single model becomes overwhelmed by all that attached data, looking much like a 3D version of too many attribute tags cluttering up an AutoCAD drawing. Instead, manufacturing data is stored in the model using 3D PMI (product manufacturing information), which other software reads, such as simple viewers and advanced CAM programs. It’s intent is to eliminate all those 2D drawings that today we generate from 3D models. MBD is where the 3D model becomes the repository for all needed data – primarily data that details how to manufacture the model. For a number of years now, this has been considered the future of design, but has been hindered by its inherent complexity. Xdesign will also incorporate model-based design (MBD). SolidWorks 2017 will include an improved wrap sketch tool that will allow the sketch to wrap to any surface, including split surfaces or even multiple disjoint surfaces. (If you want to experience this right now, try the CatchBook beta from Siemens PLM for Android and Windows.) It recognizes and perfects shapes that look like circles and lines and then snaps together sketches that touch or nearly touch. As we draw with a stylus or finger, Xdesign uses technology from Dassault’s Industrial Designer to turn the scribbles into parametrized sketches. When Dassault unveiled the alpha version of Xdesign earlier this year, they demo’ed a program that offers a lot of intelligence. It will require an always-on Internet connection should the connection fail, Xdesign will probably operate in view-only mode. It operates 100% on Dassault’s servers, with graphics and user interaction handled by the Web browser employing WebGL and JaveScript code. In this context, “browser-based” means Xdesign can run in any modern browser that runs on any modern operating system, including handheld and desktop devices running anything from Android to Windows. At Solidworks World 2016, Dassault Systemes unveiled Xdesign, a browser-based 3D parametric CAD design tool, pictured here running on an iPad Pro. When you need to use two ports, try to avoid using the second USB-C port and the USB-A port. Either USB-C port can provide 65W of power when used on its own, with the USB-A port offering 22.5W when it’s used on its own. On the front of the charger, you’ll find three ports, two USB-C and a single USB-A port, with a maximum total output of 65W between the three. If you’re looking for a charger that can keep your laptop and a tablet (or both) charged at home or on the go, the Anker 735 Charger is our top pick. The best USB-C charger for multiple devices: Anker 735 65W All things considered, that’s akin to getting straight As at the end of a semester.īecause the Nexode Mini is one of only a few chargers we tested that can actually charge a Samsung device at 45W, and it’s capable of fast-charging all major US brands of smartphones, it’s an easy recommendation for anyone looking for a great phone charger that’s versatile enough to handle a couple of devices in a pinch. With two devices connected we saw 43W of combined output. we got 45W to the Galaxy S23 Ultra, 44W of power to the Surface Laptop Studio, 20W to Google’s Pixel 7 and 26W to an iPhone 14 Plus. Since the devices themselves determine how much power they’ll draw from a charger, your results will vary slightly depending on what you’re charging. Either port can supply the full 45W if you connect two devices, the output is split between the two ports. The Nexode Mini’s USB-C ports support all the fast-charging standards we tested for, including hitting full 45W charging when connected to Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone - a rare feat among the charging adapters we tested. The diminutive (1.57 by 1.57 by 1.93 inches, 3.46 ounces) block has two USB-C ports placed side by side on its face on the backside you’ll find the prongs, which fold into the housing for convenient storage.
